Validator PASS Does Not Mean Physics Proof

A PASS result says a named check accepted the checked state. It is useful operational evidence, but it is not theorem proof, ontology adoption, benchmark promotion, Gate Chair approval, or permission expansion.

Validator evidence flow
Visual orientation only: checks and receipts are bounded operational evidence.

Validator PASS comprehension

PASS is checked-state evidence, not physics proof.

The validator/operator route explains how operators choose focused checks, record command evidence, add screenshots for public UI, and avoid turning PASS into theorem proof or claim promotion.

Mechanism

How to read this surface.

Terms

Define the loaded words before using them.

Validator
A deterministic repository check.Not a scientific judge.
Receipt
A durable record of command evidence or review status. Not claim promotion by itself.
Screenshot evidence
Rendered browser evidence for public UI changes.Still requires human comprehension review.
Human gate
Explicit protected decision path for claim promotion or closure.Cannot be replaced by PASS.

Boundaries

What this page must not imply.

No theorem proof
PASS does not prove physicsMathematical and scientific claims require source evidence, derivation, and any required gates.
No authority expansion
Validation does not grant writesA passing check cannot expand role authority or AgentJob scope.
No gate shortcut
Human-gated decisions stay separateValidators cannot issue Gate Chair approval, adopt ontology, or promote a benchmark.

Safe reading

A useful summary also names the unsafe one.

Safe summary
Supported readingValidators and tests provide bounded evidence for the surface they checked, with screenshots and receipts where needed; scientific promotion still requires source evidence and any required human gate.
Unsafe summary
Forbidden shortcutPASS proves physics, promotes claims, changes roles, replaces human review, resolves unchecked surfaces, or issues Gate Chair approval.

Choose checks by changed authority surface.

Memory refresh, publication pages, project-system state, source-bridged sidecars, tooling changes, and research-control records require different evidence.

Memory
Bootstrap then validateGenerated derivatives refresh through the approved path; source files remain the authority.
Publication
Pair checks with screenshotsPublic pages need deterministic checks plus rendered evidence because readability is user-facing.
Project system
Classify and receiptState-changing project-system work needs classifier, resolver, documentation-impact, research-control, and checkpoint evidence.
Tooling
Run focused testsScripts, validators, schemas, roles, or memory tools require unit tests in addition to control validators.

PASS limits

Deterministic acceptance has a bounded meaning.

A green check does not promote claims, prove theorems, expand roles, adopt sidecars, issue Gate Chair approval, or make generated outputs authoritative.

Necessary
Transaction evidenceA PASS result can be necessary evidence for the current checked state.
Insufficient
No theorem proofIt does not prove ontology, derive GR, promote a benchmark, or issue a Gate Chair verdict.
Protected
Human gates remain separateOntology adoption, benchmark promotion, Gate Chair closure, and protected authority changes need their own source and approval path.
